Tuberculosis remains a serious public health challenge.
Early diagnosis, support, and access to treatment can save lives.
That is why we work where it truly matters — close to people, within communities where support is needed every day.

Samarkand and Andijan regions.
Implementation period: April – September 2026.

The project is built on a comprehensive approach and covers all key stages — from detection to full recovery.

🔍 Detection and Screening
We work at the community level — where people live and face risks.
• Conducting TB risk mapping
• Organizing regular household-level screening
• Engaging social and outreach workers
• Establishing multidisciplinary teams (doctor, psychologist, social worker)
• Implementing mobile screening campaigns, including in remote areas

💊 Treatment and Support
It is important not only to detect the disease but also to help individuals complete their treatment.
• Providing psychosocial support
• Accompanying patients throughout all stages of treatment
• Helping reduce the risk of treatment interruption

🛡 Prevention
Prevention is key to reducing the spread of tuberculosis.
• Providing information on protection and preventive measures
• Working with close contacts
• Supporting access to preventive treatment
• Raising awareness within communities

Innovation
We introduce modern solutions, including:
• Digital platforms for patient monitoring and case management
• New tools to improve service effectiveness

Sustainability
The project is aimed not only at immediate results but also at long-term impact:
• Training specialists and community representatives
• Strengthening collaboration between medical institutions and NGOs
• Developing data analysis and decision-making systems

How We Work

Special attention is given to individuals who are most vulnerable to tuberculosis:
• Migrants
• Close contacts of TB patients
• People with comorbidities
• Children and the elderly

Who the Project Supports

Since April 2026, in partnership with UNOPS and the U.S. Embassy in Tashkent, we have been implementing a project aimed at strengthening tuberculosis care in the regions of Uzbekistan.
The main objective of the project is to make TB services more accessible, effective, and responsive to the real needs of people — especially those at increased risk.
